Heartsaver CPR

The Heartsaver CPR course is modular to provide the flexibility to meet your training needs. Modules cover adult and pediatric resuscitation. Heartsaver CPR is for those who need or want CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training and a course completion card.  The intended audience includes corporate employees, security personnel, day care workers, firefighters, police officers, airline personnel, baby-sitters, personal trainers, foster parents, family members of people at high risk for sudden cardiac death, and those who need or want to learn CPR.


Heartsaver First Aid (Choose either Pediatric or Adult First Aid

Heartsaver First Aid (Choose either Pediatric or Adult First Aid) Persons assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer's efforts to comply with OSHA regulations, ie, corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards, home childcare providers, foster/adoptive parents, and other individuals who want or need first aid training.

Healthcare Provider Class

The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital, for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Blended Learning

Blended Learning has two parts.  Part 1 of the valid American Heart Blended Certification is virtual learning on the American Heart Association web site.  Part 2, the skills test is an in person experience with a certified instructor. Virtual & Classroom Learning Length of Class: 30 minutes to 1 hour Includes: Adult Child and Infant training Certification: American Heart Association Two Year Certification Course Meets: State, Federal and OSHA Requirements www.elearning.heart.org Also known as Express Learning, Blended Learning or e-Learning (online lessons blended with hands-on skills session) has a combination of both virtual learning (Part 1) and in person skills training (Part 2). American Heart Association e-Learning program certification is equivalent to a regular 100% class room training and the same card is issued at completion of the course for both Class Room and eLearning courses. Part 1, American Heart Association online course Students are emailed access to course work to be completed on the American Heart Association website.  Students work at their own pace. Once the student has completed all course work, the student prints the course completion

certificate to give to his instructor for Part 2.  Part 1 should take about 2 hours to complete but students can work on small sections at a time and complete the course over several days if they choose. Part 2, Hands-on skills practice session with an Authorized AHA Instructor Students practice and show in person, good Compressions, Breathing Skills, and AED.  These are all used in a rescue scenario where the student perform is knowledge of all three skills, Compressions, Breathing, and AED. There skills are performed for Adult, Child and Infant. Choking skills are then performed. Part 2 should take 30 minutes to an hour depending the type of class and the experience of the student. Course is complete after finishing both Part 1 and Part 2 of the course. Please go to services and register for your Skills Check off class once you finish the online course
